You need to ask questions of whomever comes to see you.
And make sure they are licensed!Is s/he up to date with what is happening? Has s/he a professional image? Is s/he conservative or all talk. And how long has he been in business? Is s/he an accredited member with various controlling bodies and has he achieved awards? Does s/he have indemnity insurance to protect you against bad advice? Can you get referrals? Is s/he computer literate? Is s/he personally successful? Does s/he invest in the products he recommends to you?
Will s/he give quality advice and professional service? Is your Broker/Financial advisor worth his/her commission?
