I have many satisfied clients. Become one of them too!" My interest is in the future, because I am going to spend the rest of my life there." Charles Kettering. | Education Plan Our son (for which I need to pay royalties!) "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." William Butler Yeats
Perhaps, like me, you have been blasted by advertising on saving for school fees? How much you need to save and what is the best education plan to use. And in the end, you are just as confused as when you started out! Well, here's help!
A good education is the finest gift you can ever give your child.A vital part of being a good parent is to equip your children with the best possible skills that will enable them to find a suitable job to support themselves and their families one day. In addition to education providing security, opportunity and fulfillment, the level of education is directly related to earning potential - the higher the level of education, the higher the potential income. The average income with a Standard 8 certificate is R2,000 per month. With a Matric, R4,000 per month. With a Diploma, R6,000 per month and With a Degree, R8,500 per month! A matric no longer guarantees a good job. 40% of matriculants are jobless! Your child needs some sort of tertiary education in order to secure a meaningful job. What you do wish for your child? Why it is important to save for a child's education.A good education is the key to giving your children a head start in life. Unfortunately, many families struggle to find the money required for school fees, university fees and all the associated costs, like uniforms and sports costs. A child who spends 2 years at pre-primary school, 7 years at a private primary school, 5 years at a private senior school and 4 years at university i.e. a period of 17 years, will cost you approximately R1,000,000 in fees alone - if one assumes a 10% annual increase in the cost of education. And with two or more children, just how can you afford the fees? The costs of extra-mural activities, books, uniforms, accommodation and other such items, which can also be substantial, are NOT included in these costs, but often represent an additional 10 – 20% of typical education costs. Any way you look at it, a significant amount of money is required for the education of your children. Give your child the chance to make their world a better place. Start an investment NOW! It's never too late. As a parent, you want the best for your child: the peace of mind of knowing that your child can enter adult life with a good educational foundation, and a chance to fulfill their dreams. You also need the security of knowing that should anything unforeseen happen to you, your child's future will be secure.
An investment should not only provide the potential for high returns, but also cater for your death or disability during the term. You need to know that whatever may happen to you, the money will be available for your child. | I have an excellent calculator, that will accurately determine just what you need to save. |
And even if you child does not want to study further, the investment will provide TAX-FREE money for use in whatever endeavour your child may choose. If inflation runs at 10% per year, a small car could cost R400,000 in twenty-years!A deposit on a house could be R170,000 in twenty-years!Or they could start their own business. Just think what you could have done if you had, had such a nest egg! But, these dreams cost money and unless you start planning early, many opportunities may be denied to your child. | The message is clear - unless you start providing for your child's future well in advance, a quality education could become unaffordable. |
An education plan is an ideal investment from grandparents! Your child's success is in your hands. They can achieve so much more if you plan for their future and start saving today. The only way you can ensure that your child reaches his/her full potential is to save on a regular basis. And the earlier your start, the easier it is. Simply call me and we can work out an affordable plan for you. If you would like an indication of what you should be considering as a monthly education plan saving, please complete the EDUCATION REQUEST FORM and post it to me. I will reply with some values for you.
